As a direct result of our excellent image, in 2002, we achieved the figure of 100 employees for the first time, divided more or less equally between Madrid and Barcelona.

To mark our 15th Anniversary, a Special Convention in Morocco was held with all our employees taking part.

The Madrid office moved again, this time to Eloy Gonzalo 27, taking up an entire floor of 700 square metres.

In spite of the fact that BIOMETRICA had many clients in Madrid, it did not have its own offices. In the year 1998 Óscar Salamanca joined the company with the job of running the new office that the company wanted to have in Madrid.

Óscar also had previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry and knew the world of clinical investigation very well. Thanks to his flair, the first office, located in Arturo Soria Street, soon became too small and in a space of two years BIOMETRICA had to move to larger premises on two more occasions, first to José Silva Street and later to Velázquez Street.

In the same year of 1998, the move from the offices in Corbera de Llobregat to their current location in Arístides Maillol 15, Barcelona, took place, as well as the holding of the First BIOMETRICA Annual Convention, with the entire workforce present (at that time 25 employees), a tradition which continues to the present day.

Our business started in 1987 under the leadership of our founder, Doctor Sebastià Banús i Gasol, currently Director General of the company. Sebastià Banús, with a vast knowledge of medical statistics, used to work for a pharmaceutical multinational and noticed the shortage of companies that could offer scientific support services for pharmaceutical laboratories. The business started from there and was initially focused on medical statistics and the preparation of medical texts (monographs of products, translations, protocols, ...).

The original services went on increasing and the company has continued to expand progressively to become the company it is today.
